Your plant collection stays on your device

Plantarium stores your plants, journal, photos, and preferences on your device. The app has no account, advertising, tracking, or developer-operated cloud sync.

Optional feedback

When you choose Send feedback, your message, category, optional reply email, and any app details you include are stored with Cloudflare and emailed through Resend to Plantarium’s developer. Plant records and photos are not attached automatically. Your IP address is used temporarily to limit repeated submissions; it is not stored with your feedback. You can review everything in the form before sending.

Feedback is used to respond to questions and improve Plantarium. To request removal of feedback you submitted, contact support@plantarium.dev and include enough information to identify your message.

Camera, photos, and notifications

Camera access is optional and used to take plant photos. When you allow adding to Photos, accepted camera captures also save to your iPhone photo library, even if you later cancel adding the plant or photo in Plantarium. The photo picker lets you choose images to import. Notifications are optional and can be disabled in Settings.

Sharing and backups

Camera captures saved to Photos follow your photo library settings, including iCloud Photos if enabled. You can also save or share individual photos from the photo viewer. Shared photos and collection backups are handled by the destination you choose under its own policies. Backups are unencrypted; keep them in a location you trust. Device backups may also include app data, depending on your device settings.

Deleting your data

Deleted journal entries are retained for recovery. Permanently deleting a plant removes its records from the active collection and cleans up unused photos. Your iPhone photo library, earlier collections and exported backups retain their copies. Remove earlier local collections under Settings → Backups & restore → Manage local copies, and delete exported copies where you saved them.
